THE DAILY DISMISSALS

On Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning:

    May He who is risen from the dead, Christ our trueGod, through the intercessions of His all-immaculate Mother, of the holy,glorious and all-laudable Apostles, (of the Saintof the Temple and of the Day), of the holy and righteous Forebearsof God, Joachim and Anne, and of all the Saints, have mercy on us and saveus, for He is good and loveth man.

On Sunday Evening and Monday Morning:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof His all-immaculate Mother, through the protection of the honorable BodilessPowers of heaven, of the holy, glorious and all-laudable Apostles, (ofthe Saint of the Temple and of the Day), of the holy and righteousForebears of God, Joachim and Anne, and of all the Saints, have mercy onus and save us, for He is good and loveth man.

On Monday Evening and Tuesday Morning:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof His all-immaculate Mother, through the supplications of the honorable,glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist, John, of the holy, glorious,and all-laudable Apostles . . .

On Tuesday and Thursday Evenings and onWednesday and Friday Mornings:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof His all-immaculate Mother, through the power of the honorable and life-creatingCross, through the supplications of the holy, glorious and all-laudableApostles . . .

On Wednesday Evening and Thursday Morning:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof his all-immaculate Mother, of the holy, glorious and all-laudable Apostles,of our Father among the Saints, Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia,the Wonderworker . . .

On Friday Evening and Saturday Morning:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof His all-immaculate Mother, of the holy, glorious and alllaudable Apostles,of the holy, glorious and right-victorious Martyrs, of our Venerable andGod-bearing Fathers, (of the Saint of the Templeand of the Day), of the holy, righteous Forebears of God, Joachimand Anne, and of all the Saints, have mercy on us and save us, for He isgood and loveth man.

    At the holy Liturgy throughoutthe week, the dismissals are given as above, except that after the Apostles,we add the name of the Saint whose Liturgy we celebrate:

    Of our Father among the Saints, John Chrysostom,Archbishop of Constantinople. . .
    Or Of our Fatheramong the Saints, Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia.. .
    Or Of our Fatheramong the Saints, Gregory Dialogus. .

    At Compline, Midnight Office,and First Hour throughout the week, the lesser dismissal is given:

    May Christ our true God, through the intercessionsof His all-immaculate Mother, of our Venerable and Godbearing Fathers,and of all the Saints, have mercy on us and save us, for He is good andloveth man.

    Except that on Sunday atMidnight Office and the Hours, we add at the beginning:

    May He who is risen from the dead. . .

It should be noted thatin Temples dedicated to Christ the Savior, to the Nativity, the Theophany,the Ascension, etc., the festival dismissal corresponding to the patronalfeast is used only on that festival and during the post-feast, as in allother temples. However, May Christ our true God . . . issaid throughout the year and the rest according to the day.
