LET’S HONOR
OUR SPIRITUAL LEADER “In everything set yourself as an example by
doing what is good, in teaching, showing integrity, decency, unblemished and
soundly word” (Titus 2:7) Saint John Chrysostom invigorates Apostle
Paul’s words saying: “Set an example to your brethren, through your words,
your life, your love, your faithfulness, your purity, giving yourself as an
example to everybody unto good deeds; therefore, be yourself the first image
of life, as a enliven law, as an act
and a regimen of the good life.” During the 25 years of Episcopate, His
Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel pursued Apostle Paul’s and St. John
Chrysostom’s advice of being like a light in a candle, to light the entire
Orthodox America and especially the Romanian Episcopate. He went from the Atlantic to the Pacific,
from California to Canada carrying consolation, prayer spirit, and his
Hierarchical blessings to the brethren from all the missions and parishes of
the Romanian Episcopate. St. Paul again, advices us to “render honor
to whom honor is due”, therefore you are all invited to honor our spiritual
leader at this 25th Anniversary of Episcopacy, 25th
Anniversary of endeavors and guidance for Christ’s Church, whom he held in
unity and worship more than a quarter of a century (“The Holy Nativity”
Parish bulletin, Oct. 2005, Chicago, IL). |
